The nature of knowledge is changing and in this digital age, our definition of basic competency urgently needs expanding. Digital Competency Standards (DCS) has been co-developed by Malaysia Digital Economy Ccorporation (MDEC) and Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) to gauge the digital competency level of the Malaysian youth towards preparing them for the future of workforce.

DCS uses gamification approach which measures the digital competency levels through 3 main domains as illustrated below and is conducted in schools.
